Matt Kaelin

Matt Kaelin has donated a diptych from his project Cheese Alondra Ice Cream which documents a class of autistic children on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

While Matt's approach to the subject is documentary in nature, his interest lies less in reportage than it does in exploring the psychology of the camera's perspective.

Matt lives and works in Brooklyn, has a psychology degree from Swarthmore College, is a 2010 recipient of a Puffin Foundation Grant, and has been included in group shows in Italy, Argentina, New York, and Philadelphia. He is currently earning a MFA degree at Hunter College.
