Alan Ruiz’s work exists at the intersection of visual perception, abstraction, architecture, and digital rendering. He received his MFA from Yale University (2009) and his BFA at Pratt Institute (2006).  His work has recently been exhibited at the Bronx Museum, and Y Gallery, as well as featured in the Wall Street Journal.  In 2011 he was a participant in the Artist in the Marketplace program at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Forthcoming group exhibitions include “Transregional Aesthetics” at the Castle Inn Gallery in Delaware Water Gap, and “Navigating Darkness” at the Tape Modern, Berlin. Alan Ruiz was born in Mexico City, and lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
