Karla Wozniak makes paintings of the American landscape that play with tactility, abstraction, spatial illusion and typography. She received her MFA from the Yale School of Art and BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. Wozniak’s distinctions include a NYFA fellowship, participation in the Artist in the Market Place, Bronx Museum , a Marie Walsh Sharpe Space Program Grant , two MacDowell Colony Fellowships. Her work has been noted in a number of publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The San Francisco Chronicle, the Village Voice, and Harper’s. Wozniak is represented by the Gregory Lind Gallery in San Francisco.
