Hannah Smith Allen

Hannah Smith Allen earned her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from the School of Visual Arts. She is the reciepient of an Individual Photographer’s Fellowship (IPF) from the Aaron Siskind Foundation (2008) and an Artist Fellowship in Photography from The New York Foundation for the Arts (2010). Allen's photographs have been exhibitted at The Griffin Museum of Photography, The Photographic Resource Center, and The Photographic Center Northwest. In spring 2011, she completed an AIM artist residency at the Bronx Museum of Art. A selection of images from her new series, Battlegrounds, are on view this summer in “Bronx Calling,” The Bronx Museum of Art’s first AIM biennial exhibition. Allen lives in Brooklyn, New York and teaches at Adelphi University.
