Kristen Kee

Kristen Kee procured an MFA from Yale (Sculpture, 2007); she did her undergraduate work at UCLA, where she got a BA in fine art in 2005. She works in neon, words, rubber, video, and paper, but not exclusively; this work is mostly about the wrinkly, half-broke outer limits of rituals and systems -- dirty swans, if you will. It's also about materials. She grew up Mormon in a California suburb, has exhibited internationally, and she collects typewriters with unusual fonts. She lives and works in Manhattan. Thank You Kristen!
